Experts who discovered the 200-year-old mummified monk perfectly preserved in Mongolia were surprised since the story about it sparked way back in 2015. Senior Buddhists who found the monk sitting on a lotus position say that the monk is just meditating and is not really dead. In fact, after conducting forensic exams, it has been revealed that the mummified monk was found wrapped in cattle skins when it was uncovered. How the monk was preserved was a sorcery but people point out that the weather in the country can be blamed for it. However, Dr. Barry Kerzin claimed that the monk is in a rare state of meditation called “tukdam” and can further become a Buddha if he remains to be meditating.source;youtube
